OY Brian

QUICK POST:
Brian and I were shopping looking for a coat for him (warm enough for NYC)

Sooo we were in Hollister's and he picks up a nice coat and I tell him: "see it would look great with your brown pants" and he replied "no it would not look good with blue, look!?" (pointing at his pants...)
I paused and then I asked: "What color are your pants?"
Brian: "Blue!"
I: "BRIAN, what color are your pants!??!"
Brian: "Blue!"
MY HEART STOPPED A LITTLE...

I turn around freaked out trying to figure out which one of us is colorblind ---all in a millisecond ... and then I ask him one more time " What color are your pants?" and he goes "OH BROWN!"

NICE! way to go Babe!

BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!

Remember my previous post about all that I was lusting over for Christmas!?!?!?!?!?
well I GOT EVERYTHING I WANTED (& more), I am such a lucky girl it's not even funny!!!

CHECK!

incredible, totally awesome, unbelievably shiny, glittery chandelier courtesy of my parents :D

DID I MENTION I AM SUPER DUPER UTTERLY LUCKY!!?!?!?!?!??

Other amazing gifts consisted of a gorgeous anthro necklace from my mom, an anthro gift card from Brian's parents, an ice cream maker and label maker from Brian's sister, Willow statuettes, earrings, and many many others!!

We spent the Christmas eve evening at my parents' house, my mom cooked an entire fish-based meal which was to-die-for as usual. I ate way too much octopus salad, and a variety from the dessert galore she had prepared over the course of 3 days ;)

We then spent Christmas day at 3 houses (just like thanksgiving day): Brian's parents home, his Grandmother's home, and then back to my parents. Christmas was all it should have been this year-- spending time with the ppl I love the most, getting lbs heavier, and receiving some amazing gifts! :D

till soon with photos ;)

Ghost

oh my goodness wow!
I am just now wiping off the tears that have lasted over thirty minutes.
I watched Ghost, yes- for the first time, and oh my goodness. I have no words to describe the movie, perhaps my favorite, ever?! I bawled incessantly and had to excuse my self to the bathroom to breathe, AND because I was embarrassed of my hopeless crying. I think I worried Brian there for a sec.

The movie is fabulous yes, but I think it really hit me inside and punctured my existentialist component. The thought of losing my love, is profoundly devastating and I am not sure I would know how to handle it or react to it. Happily I have never experience such thing, and I am terrified of it.

So when I thought my tear ducts were broken and unrepairable, crying in Brian's arms, we looked down below the couch where frosty was standing there, blinking, under a sheer white blanket... looking like a... GHOST.

Christmas Card project!

Well now that everyone has received their Christmas cards, I can share them here with you all! Till the last minute I had resigned on doing Christmas cards this year, as I had been so busy with everything else. But then I got really inspired and decided to go for it.

I hand made each card like so:

bought sweet little alphabet stamps-- in typewriter font

I incorporated this "Celebrate" stamp, as I loved the "stitching" character of it.

I added a vintage charm as an inviting "gift" to open. Each card had a different charm; people received vintage keys, perfume, a dove, a hand mirror and more!

I wrapped the closed card in red string to add a touch of the most festive Christmas color, red.

I also added a dried rose in the tiny bag to reinforce the festive red.

Finally I created simple labels for each printed on rustic beige paper and, woila' they were ready to send off!
